On Friday, April 20th Hudson, Mom & I picked up Grandma Judy to go to Fabulous Fridays at ECFE. We had lots of fun playing and it was extra special with Grandma there. After nap we went to the park to meet up with the Hansen's for some fun outside play. Afterwards we had a relaxing night with Mom at home as Dad had boys night out! On Sat., April 21st we had a fun day at home and the Hansen's came over for dinner. Late Saturday night Hudson started to not feel so well and got a high fever. By Sunday morning he wasn't feeling much better so we took him to the doctor and we unfortunately, after some tests , x-rays & hospital time, found out his pneumonia returned. Back to meds and neb treatments with lots of cuddle time for our little guy. Monday & Tuesday Hudson stayed home to recover and I got to have fun at daycare. On Monday we made raindrops with blue paint & enjoyed the warm, sunshiny weather outside. Tuesday, I got to play dress-up with rain gear and enjoyed splashing in boots!
On Wed., April 25th Hudson turned 5 months old! He was doing much better so returned to daycare where he squealed & giggled in delight so must have been feeling better. I found the new trucks right away in the morning, colored raindrops and even tried climbing in the baby doll crib in the afternoon. What a fun day!
Here's what Hudson's been up to this past month:
- Is sitting with support and can sit on his own for a second or two!
- Getting close to rolling over from back to tummy & rolling from tummy to back more often.
- Turns head when hears name and to familiar voices.
- Grasps & reaches for toys/objects and brings up to mouth & face to inspect.
- Is a happy guy and super smiley all the time. A really pleasant demeanor.
- Loves to stand with support and can even stand with minmual support for a couple seconds!
- This past month has gone down to 5 feedings a day with the last around 8 p.m. and then sleeps through night until 6 - 7 a.m. Starting to have a regular bedtime routinue of feeding, bath, storytime & prayers similiar to big brother!
- Had first egg hunt, first Easter, first Easter Bunny visit and first trip to Ames, IA - Iowa State Unversity - this past month!
