On Wed., December 14th Hudson had his 2 week check-up with Dr. Morris at 11:30 a.m. They first did a weight and height check and he's grown to 10 lb. 4 oz. and just shy 22 inches! They were impressed with how well he's grown especially since at his 2 day check he was at 8 lb. 5 oz.
Here's Hudson and Dr. Morris.
At his check-up he looked like he was growing really well and he's starting to focus and follow objects with his eyes which is a good sign. He also turns his head when he hears Mom's voice and can hold his head up on his own for a few seconds. He's working on turning his head side-to-side now.
Here's Hudson showing off his neck strength to Dr. Morris.
After a quick feeding he was all wore out and ready to head home. What a cutie?!
At daycare on the 14th I had fun playing with little hoops that we would roll on the ground and chase after. They are a ton of fun to run after with my friends and try to catch them before they would. On the 14th and 15th we had fun sponge painting and using painting dots at daycare. We also painted special Christmas presents for our parents but can't share that quite yet! As you know we're learning about stars this month and here's my star painting we did with a star sponge we cut out:
We also learned about Christmas decorations such as Christmas trees and wreaths and here's my dot painted Christmas wreath. I preferred to use blues, yellows and oranges instead of reds and greens!
On Friday, Dec. 16th Grandma Judy asked if I could come over and spend the day with her. We enjoyed watching 4 "big" (*I really enunciate the big and even lower my voice a bit) trucks maneuver in the yard, were busy playing with pop beads & the see n say, and riding the latest mode of transportation, the ottoman. We even watched my favorite DVD that's at Grandma and Grandpa's, "Toddler Action Songs" and played with Play-Doh. My favorite part of the day was riding my trike in the shop & watching the guys work on trucks. I even rode my trike all the way down to the mailbox when I helped Grandma get the mail. We also colored Mom & Dad a picture and played with stickers to prepare for Christmas. Here's my masterpiece:
Thanks Grandma for such a fun day!
