Hudson continues to grow and move more and more. Here's what our little wiggle worm has been up to this past month:
- Still a happy, smiley boy and get comments from DC all the time of how such a good baby. Loves to stay busy and always reaching & grabbing for stuff. Be surprised what he can reach!
- Loves to be engaged with patty-cake, songs, loves to mimic you, peek-a-boo and will keep looking for you and/or dropped object. Sometimes gets a little upset when loses an object.
- This past month had a lot of first foods including peas, green beans, apples, bananas, peaches, carrots and puffs. Loves everything although not a huge fan of peas.
- First two teeth came in on June 30th: bottom right center & bottom left center. No more toothless smile! Hudson loves his new teeth as now he loves making raspberries & new sounds with them. Watch out you might get wet!
- Sitting up like a champ and now out of the baby carrier car seat so got first ever shopping cart ride sitting on own in actual cart on July 4th with Mom at Juba's Grocery.
- Starting to pull himself up and loves if sitting up & you are sitting in front of him if you put your hands out and he'll grab them to pull himself up. Then he smiles & acts like he's king of the world. Dad calls him Mr. Cocky Pants - really cute! So proud of you Hudson!
- Really starting to grasp more and pick up smaller objects. No longer just using the crab grasp of all fingers together with thumb but using individual fingers and even the pincer grasp of thumb & pointer finger. Starting to grasp & reach out to hold own to bottle and take out/put in pacifier, etc.
- First non-relative babysitter (*Ms. Megan from daycare & her daughter Bailey) for a hour while Mom took Hayden to swim lessons on July 2nd & 3rd. Had a lot of fun together.
- First 4th of July & celebrated at 1st parade with Mom's good friend Lindsey and her family at Minnesota's oldest 4th of July celebration at Delano, MN. It was so hot got my first bottle of water, first Mr. Freezie (*it was orange & then a blue one!)
- First Bricelyn Days and parade on Sat., July 7th which also meant first fireworks that evening! Did not get scared and was mesmerized by the lights. Got first pony ride, on Shadow, first petting zoo and first sparklers as a family.
- First Farmer's Day in Jesup, IA July 13 & 14th. Got to meet the largest tractor in the world too!
- Hudson's schedule includes two naps a day roughly at 9:30 a.m. & 2:30 p.m.; 4 to 5 bottles per day and usually gets fruit at breakfast, cereal & veggie at lunch and all three at dinner. Offering snacks such as puffs, crackers, etc however still developing an appetite for them.
