On Sun., June 10th in honor of an early Father's Day we got to experience our first ever air show & with the Blue Angels no less. They had quite a spread of airplanes, Ag & transportation equipment it was a lot of fun exploring. Of course we had to check out the John Deere exhibit first! Here's me with what I think is Daddy's combine.
We got an excellent shaded spot to watch the show - under an airplane! We also met some amazing men & woman who are in the Navy and had a great time getting to know them. We are so blessed to have such fine troops protecting us. Here's Dad & Hudson enjoying the show.
There were so many amazing planes and mini-shows throughout the entire day it's really hard to pick and choose what to share. Here's one of our favorites where they flew together, went into a dive bomb and then spread apart. Our other favorite was when they'd climb in the air and then fall down floating left to right and back again like a falling leaf. Wonder how they do all of it?!
My other favorites of the day included getting to experience my first meal on a stick - a corn dog & I loved figuring out how to dip it into ketchup! My other favorite was my Blue Angels air plane:

The precision and accuracy of the pilots is phenomenal. They appear to be inches from each other and never falter. Amazing!

We weren't even out of the parking lot & both of us were out! Notice I haven't let my plane out of my hands once! Pretty big weekend...
On Mon., June 11th Hudson & I worked on special Father's Day projects for Dad - top secret! The coolest part of the day was hearing from Dad though. Like with Mother's Day they had the Dad's call in to give us kids special messages during celebrate Dad Week. Thanks Dad! On Tues., June 12th we had our Little Giants Family Picnic / Fundraiser. We had a fun time sitting outside with our fellow Little Giants friends & even raised $900.00! Putting us over the mark for our much needed playground. Thank you to everyone who's helped us build our toddler playground...we can't wait to show you pictures of the finished project. We break ground early July.
On Wed., June 13th my teachers thought I was the cutest when I placed a farm book on the reading easel & sang Old McDonald for everyone! What a solo! We also practiced our hand coordination with tearing & cutting paper and then gluing. We're practicing our shapes right now so you can see I used lots of squares, triangles and rectangles.
June 13th & 14th Dad surprised me in the morning by putting my favorite magazine "Tractor House" in my car seat. As you can see I enjoyed my morning paper on the way to "DC" (*daycare) both days!
This week Hudson kept developing too...he's becoming a champ at going down sleepy and going to sleep on his own as well as by today, the 14th, he now noticeably turns his head when he hears his name. He's also getting better at sitting up and goes for longer periods of time without assistance. Getting sooo big!
