Hayden & Hudson's Dad here and I wanted to document as well as share a funny, interesting story of Mr. Hayden. Hayden is usually a mild tempered, well mannered young man and the teachers are always impressed that he doesn't retaliate back during a hitting or biting match. Poor kid stands his ground and just takes the rest. Today Hayden must have had his fill.
During outdoor play Hayden was bit by a fellow DC'er and in typical fashion didn't react. Soon after they all went inside to clean-up & have snack time. The kids have assigned seats and unforuantely the little DC'er who bit him is assigned to sit next to him. After snacks were passed out and everyone was sitting quietly Hayden got the idea to take the little boy's cup of milk and ever so calmly poured it over the little boy's lap and then continued with his own snack.
Now we know Hayden must have been mad as milk is gold to Hayden! The teachers were actually kind of impressed in the sense that he did it in such a calm, matter-of-fact manner & techically did it without breaking any "rules"! They had a hard time holding back laughter...I got to hand it to you kid, pretty creative. You must take after dear, ol' Dad! I will say that we do not condone the behavior and had lots of talks with Hayden, however, we give Hayden credit as technically he didn't break any DC rules (*no biting, check; no hitting, check; no stealing toys, check, check) they never said you couldn't pour milk on someone. Who knew?! I guess a new rule to remember!
