On Sunday, Nov. 27th Mom & Hudson were scheduled to be released to come home late evening so Dad & I hung out at home until after nap before heading over to see them. Dad & Mom thought it would be easier on me and allow me to run around & play. Mom took Hudson's new born pics in the morning and what a handsome guy. Even though 3 weeks early at the time Hudson was born he could open & focus his eyes, which are blue, hold his head up for little bits at a time and even look around. The nurses, Mom & Dad were impressed with how strong he was right away.
Hudson even got an IA State cap to wear which you can see here and he's even opening his eyes for you!
In the morning Mom & Hudson had a special visit from Great Grandma and Grandpa Fenske!While at home that morning I said my first full sentence to Dad. I grabbed the tractor below and brought it to him and said, "This is a big tractor". Really emphasising "big". Mom was impressed with Dad as he captured the moment with a picture! Also, while we were at home Grandma Sergeant and Great Grandma Schaefer stopped by on their way to the hospital to see us and bring me a big brother gift! I'm feeling pretty special with all these big brother gifts. I figure I'm practicing for Christmas.
After leaving our house Grandma Sergeant and Great Grandma Schaefer went to the hospital to meet Hudson and see Mom. They also thought Hudson looked like me as a baby and thought he was pretty special. Here's Great Grandma Schaefer holding him.
Grandma Sergeant and Great Grandma Schaefer kept saying what little, big hands he has. Sounds kinda funny to me but it is fun to hold your finger out and Hudson will grab on.

When I was born Mom put me in the same cap she wore when she was born and she did the same for Hudson. Here's Hudson in Mom's newborn cap. Both for me and for Hudson it was a little snug!
After 6:00 p.m. Mom & Hudson were released to come home! Here's Hudson in his coming home outfit by Carter's which was a really soft charcoal gray corduroy with even softer puppy slippers. He had a matching striped light gray and white cap he had on later. My favorite part was the train!

First time Hudson in his carseat...
First time Hudson in our car and first ride in a car. Good thing I was sitting next to him to keep him company and show him the ropes. We left the hospital around 6:30 p.m. and arrived home about 7:30 p.m. in which it was also Hudson's first time at home and first time getting to meet Kato, our dog. Kato just sniffed him and then wanted to play with me. Welcome home Hudson!
Here's Hudson getting his PJ's on for the first time at home in his new room. His PJ's also had little trains on them and he was pretty alert from 9:00 p.m. until about 10:00 p.m.
Hudson had a really good first night at home. He slept really well and Mom actually had to wake him up to nurse. He's sleeping in Mom & Dad's room and so far he's a really good baby. Here he is first night at home in his bassinet. He must be happy as here he is in full touch down mode.
